Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Distribution and Fulfillment Center Training Program Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs aimed at enhancing the skills and productivity of our distribution and fulfillment center employees. This role will ensure that all staff are properly trained in operational procedures, safety protocols, and company policies to maintain high standards of safety, performance, and efficiency. This role is onsite 5 days per week at the Hodgkins, Illinois facility.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop Training   Programs: Design and develop training programs that address the needs of new hires, as well as ongoing training for existing staff, focusing on cross-training, critical role training, operational excellence, safety, and compliance.
  • Implementation and   Delivery: Oversee the delivery of training sessions through various methods, including classroom instruction, on-the-job training, e-learning modules, and workshops.
  • Assessment and   Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Training   Materials: Create and update training materials, manuals, and resources to support the training programs.
  • Compliance: Ensure all training programs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations managers, supervisors, and HR to identify training needs and align programs with organizational goals.
  • Technology   Integration: Utilize training management systems and other technological tools to streamline training processes and track employee progress.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on training activities, progress, and outcomes for management review.
  • Labor Management: Manage the labor budget for the training department, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Continuous   Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in training and development to continually enhance the training programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant experience is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in training and development, preferably within a distribution or fulfillment center or Instructional education environment
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data and use metrics to drive training effectiveness
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Relevant certifications in education or training and development, such as CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) or CPTM (Certified Professional in Training Management), are preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Work will primarily be in a warehouse/fulfillment center setting with some office work.
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required to other sites for training and development purposes. Travel less than 25% and primarily local.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $112,000 per year in addition to a target bonus % and represents the expected compensation at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including—but not limited to—education, relevant experience, skill set, and overall business needs.
