Accounting & HR Generalist

Location: Louisville, KY

About the Role

Krauth Electric is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting & HR Generalist. This is one combined position, not multiple openings. The role encompasses accounting and human resources responsibilities.

This position is critical to streamlining accounting and HR operations. The role is accounting-heavy, with varying HR and office management responsibilities, and requires a high level of accuracy, ownership, and discretion. The ideal candidate is dependable, process-oriented, and comfortable working in a small-company environment with multiple priorities.

Schedule & Work Structure

  • Schedule: This position may choose a consistent start time between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, with a corresponding end time between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
  • Full-time, 8-hour days and 1 hour lunch breaks.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting (Primary Focus)

  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Assist with payroll processing and coordination
  • Maintain accurate financial records for both brands
  • Support month-end close and reporting activities
  • Assist with an upcoming accounting system transition for one of the brands

Human Resources

  • Support recruiting coordination and candidate tracking
  • Assist with onboarding and new hire documentation
  • Maintain employee records and HR files
  • Support benefits administration and PTO tracking
  • Assist with HR compliance documentation

Office Management & Operations Support

  • Manage day-to-day office and administrative operations
  • Maintain and organize high volumes of service and administrative paperwork
  • Coordinate closely with the Operations Manager, accounting staff, and field technicians
  • Serve as a central administrative point of contact between office, operations, and leadership
  • Help streamline processes and support knowledge transfer/documentation

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred

Experience / Skills / Knowledge

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting support, HR support, office management, or a similar combined role
  • Strong accounting fundamentals; accounting experience is required and prioritized
  • Experience supporting HR processes such as onboarding, employee records, and benefits coordination
  • Experience working with multiple companies, brands, or entities preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of paperwork accurately
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with accounting software and standard office tools
