Abundant Professional Services is a minority-owned HRBP consulting and training firm serving micro, small, and government-sector businesses nationwide. We believe in operating with excellence, building relationships, and reducing complexity for our clients, and for our CEO. We are looking for an Administrative Strategist, not just an assistant; someone who keeps operations running smoothly, anticipates needs, and makes life easier for leadership.

Job Description

  • Create polished reports and client deliverables from notes, bullets, and verbal instructions
  • Research and contact organizations to secure speaking engagements and training opportunities
  • Prepare HR-related spreadsheets, presentations, and documentation
  • Coordinate schedules, Zoom meetings, and client follow-ups
  • Manage files and records using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote)
  • Maintain communication on social platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Clubhouse, Threads, Slack)
  • Create 1–2 simple videos per week using Loom and Descript for internal training, social media, and/or client communication
  • Track project timelines and forecast upcoming tasks leading to completion
  • Provide warm, professional interactions with clients and prospects
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Stress Reducer: A calm, solutions-focused presence who lightens the CEO’s load 
  • Micro-Business Savvy: Proven experience in a micro or small business setting (large business experience welcome if adaptable)
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong time management and follow-through
  • Strong problem-solving skills with common sense decision-making
  • Tech confidence with MS Office, Zoom, and collaboration tools
  • Working experience with social media platforms
  • Discretion, integrity, and emotional intelligence
  • U.S. Citizen; able to lift 10–20 lbs; pass background check

Additional Information

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial skills
  • Possible prior experience working in HR or supporting HR functions

  • Commensurate with experience
