Job Summary/Objective
The Chief Human Resources Officer serves as a key advisor to the Superintendent and Senior Leadership Team on matters related to organizational strategy, leadership capacity, and workforce alignment. This role is responsible for advancing the district’s human capital goals by focusing on leadership development, succession planning, and strategic HR alignment—delegating HR operations to other HR staff as appropriate. The ideal candidate brings a systems-thinking mindset and a commitment to fostering an equitable, high-performance culture across the district.

Competencies
This position oversees multiple positions, participates in hiring (recruiting, screening, interviewing), makes termination decisions, makes promotion decisions conducts training of others, conducts performance appraisals, monitors work performance, coaches/mentors others, administers disciplinary actions, schedules others for work, directs others/assigns tasks and responsibilities, and develops budgets.
Minimal day travel is expected for this position. No overnight travel is expected for this position.
