As Director, HR Business Partner (Engineering), you will be a trusted adviser to our global engineering teams, partnering closely with senior leaders in both the US and UK to drive people strategies that enable innovation, performance, and engagement. You’ll help shape our evolving performance culture, champion employee experience, and ensure we’re building a high-performing, and resilient engineering organization. This is a hybrid role, with a minimum requirement to attend our Austin office 2 (ideally 3) days a week.

What You’ll Do:

    • Partner with senior engineering leaders in the US and UK to develop and execute people strategies that align with business goals and strengthen organisational capability.
    • Provide expert guidance on organisational design, talent planning, workforce strategy, and team effectiveness.
    • Help shape and embed a high-performance culture, supporting leaders in goal setting, feedback, recognition, and performance improvement.
    • Act as a coach and sounding board to leaders and managers, providing insights on engagement, leadership, and team dynamics.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with People & Culture colleagues (Talent, Reward, Talent Acquisition etc) to deliver seamless, integrated HR solutions.
    • Use data and people insights to identify trends, spot opportunities, and drive action plans across the engineering population.
    • Support change management efforts, ensuring clear communication and alignment during organisational shifts or initiatives.
    • Stay close to employee sentiment, champion wellbeing, and help foster an inclusive, positive, and collaborative workplace.

Required Skills and Experience:

    • 10+ years of relevant HR experience, including substantial experience as a strategic HR Business Partner in a fast-paced, cross functional environment.
    • Experience working in the technology or product space.

    • You have significant experience as a senior HR Business Partner or HR leader, ideally supporting engineering or technical teams in a fast-paced, global environment.
    • You bring specific experience supporting UK teams and leaders, with strong knowledge of UK employment practices, culture, and operating context.
    • You’re a strategic thinker who can translate business goals into people initiatives and make an impact.
    • You have strong expertise in performance management, talent development, organisational design, and employee engagement.
    • You’re a trusted adviser who builds relationships and credibility quickly, with excellent coaching and influencing skills.
    • You’re comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to change, and thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.
