As Director, HRBP, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the people strategy within a fast-scaling, mission-driven environment. This role begins with a โplayer/coachโ approach to deeply understand the culture, operating model, and core responsibilities before transitioning into leading and developing a high-performing HRBP function. You will partner closely with senior executives across R&D, GTM, and G&A to drive organizational design, performance management, retention, and leadership effectiveness. With a strong balance of strategy and execution, you will help build systems that strengthen leadership, protect culture, and ensure the organization scales effectively for long-term impact.
Accountabilities
- Begin as a hands-on HRBP to model excellence in coaching, performance management, and organizational design.
- Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing HRBP team that partners effectively with executive leaders.
- Establish systems and rhythms to strengthen team health, manager effectiveness, and strategic workforce planning.
- Drive initiatives for retention of top talent, ensuring ongoing reviews and actionable plans to support key contributors.
- Coach managers and HRBPs to raise leadership standards and deliver measurable team performance outcomes.
- Oversee engagement survey execution and translate insights into tangible improvements across teams.
- Own onboarding and offboarding strategies to ensure smooth transitions that build trust and reflect organizational values.
Requirements - 7+ years of HRBP experience, including direct partnership with senior executives across multiple functions.
- Proven experience leading HRBP teams or coaching peers in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Strong coaching mindset, with the ability to challenge assumptions and clarify expectations for excellence.
- Systems thinker with a bias for action, able to translate insights into scalable solutions quickly.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong documentation practices in async-first settings.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity, urgency, and high standards, while maintaining strategic clarity.
- Remote-first experience with at least 5 hours overlap with Pacific Time (8amโ5pm PST).
