SUMMARY
Reporting to the VP Global Total Rewards and a dotted line to Senior Employee Relations and Leave Manager, the Employee Relations and Leave Specialist will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing our Employee Relations and Leave processes across the organization. In this role, you will collaborate cross functionally to provide consistent support with a primary focus on employee experience.
This is a hybrid full-time position based at our Princeton, NJ headquarters, with on-site presence required Tuesday through Thursday
RESPONSIBILITIES

Leave and Workplace Accommodations
Act as primary liaison with NY Life, Integra’s leave administrator and other providers.
Ensure timely processing of leave requests, proper documentation and compliance with FMLA, ADA, and company policies.
Respond to employee questions and inquiries regarding leave of absence; research options, providing compliant, consistent answers.
Educate and guide Employees, HR and managers related to disability and reasonable accommodation requests.
Collaborate with payroll on leave related matters, including reconciliation issues and coordination of state disability programs with Integra’s disability plan.
Ensure timely and accurate entry of leave and intermittent leave time in HRIS systems; analyze data and report on trends.
Respond to medical accommodation requests providing time-bound documentation to the employee and tracking of the interactive process.
Contribute to the streamlining of the leave processes in partnership with HR and HRIS teams.
Monitor legislative changes related to employment laws in the U.S.
Employee Relations
Respond to employee complaints presented through various avenues
Independently lead basic employee relations investigations, investigating employee complaints and concerns, offering possible solutions and recommending appropriate action steps.
Assist with complex employee relations investigations, scheduling interviews and with employee intakes. Provide summary of information and prepare written reports and documentation to the files.
Maintain the case management system for all ER cases to track details, progress and outcome.
Ensure timely, accurate entry of ER case information and the supporting documentation into the NAVEX system.
Analyze and summarize ER data for monthly trend analysis and reporting.
Support change management efforts and assist with special project related tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR experience; experience with ER or Leaves a plus
3-5 years of Employee relation or HR experience, preferably in the life sciences, biotech or healthcare industry.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
Familiarity with U.S. leave laws and practices (e.g. FMLA, STD, ADA)
Ability to engage with third party systems and processes.
Experience working in a regulated industry with preference for life sciences / MedTech.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Abilities, including the ability to influence and build consensus.
Functional knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including payroll, benefits, production, and employee engagement.
Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced dynamic setting.
Salary Pay Range:
$71,300.00 - $97,750.00 USD SalaryOur salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for bonus, commission, equity or other variable compensation.
