Key Duties

  • Maintain employee relations strategies and programs that foster positive relationships and a productive work environment.
  • Investigate employee grievances, conduct thorough and impartial investigations in a timely manner.
  • Mediate and facilitate discussions between employees and supervision to resolve conflicts and promote effective communication.
  • Analyze employee relations data and trends to identify areas of improvement and recommend proactive solutions
  • Guide and educate management, supervisors and workforce in union matters, ensuring a clear understanding of the union campaign and collective bargaining processes.
  • Daily interaction with employees.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Employee Relations Manager or in a similar employee relations role.
  • Prior union experience a plus. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with employees and management at all levels.
  • Ability to conduct thorough and impartial investigations, maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, collective bargaining, unions, labor relations and human resources. 
  • Experience working on construction sites preferred. 

Work Environment

  • Combination of office and field-based work.
  • Regular interaction with employees and EAS Leadership.
  • Travel to various company locations and job sites required.
  • Successful candidate will be expected to be in front of EAS employees 80% and in office 20% of their time.
