As we continue to grow across multiple states, we are seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to serve as the centralized expert and owner of employee relations, investigations, and employment compliance.

This is a critical, high-impact role designed to bring consistency, clarity, and risk mitigation to how employee matters are handled across our organization.

Why This Role Matters

In a fast-paced, multi-site healthcare environment, employee relations and compliance cannot be inconsistent or decentralized.

With this role we provide structure, defensibility, and trust.

Requirements

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, managing cases from intake through resolution
  • Lead and oversee investigations (harassment, misconduct, retaliation), ensuring thorough and defensible documentation
  • Review and guide disciplinary actions and approve terminations to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Identify and mitigate risk related to employee actions (wage & hour, retaliation, termination)
  • Interpret and apply company policies across a multi-state environment
  • Support ADA accommodations, unemployment processes, and partner with legal counsel as needed
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready case documentation and support leaders with ER-related guidance

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in employee relations, investigations, or employment compliance
  • Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws
  • Experience supporting hourly, multi-site workforces
  • Excellent judgment, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with a balance of compassion and directness

Preferred

  • Healthcare, DSO, or other regulated industry experience
  • Experience working with legal counsel
  • Familiarity with unemployment and wage & hour risk

Success in This Role

  • Consistent, compliant, and defensible employee decisions
  • Strong, well-documented investigation processes
  • Reduced organizational risk
  • Clear, confident guidance to leaders and HR partners
