Location: Norwood, MA | Schedule: Hybrid (3–4 days in-office, 1–2 days remote)

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic HR Coordinator to join our collaborative HR department! This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional eager to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of HR, including recruiting, onboarding, employee benefits, internal communications, and more.

What you will be doing:

You will play a vital role in daily HR operations and special projects, including:

  • Support the full employment cycle, from onboarding to offboarding
  • Maintain employee credentials in HRIS
  • Create and distribute company-wide wellness communications
  • Work with HR Generalists on compensation analysis and planning
  • Be the point of contact for HR programs such as tuition reimbursement and company communications
  • Work with third-party-administrators to coordinate background checks, medical monitoring and drug screening appointments
  • Oversee GZA’s charitable donations
  • Assist employees with benefits questions and enrollment changes
  • Compile and analyze HR data using UKG UltiPro
  • Collaborate with HR to plan team-building events, career fairs, and internal initiatives
  • Support a wide range of special projects that promote culture, brand, and engagement

 

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Liberal Arts, or equivalent experience
  • At least one HR or recruiting internship or relevant experience
  • A strong work ethic and can-do attitude—you’re proactive, eager to learn, and take initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable drafting documents and working with spreadsheets
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
