Description

We are seeking a highly organized, dual-function professional to provide high-level support to the Hospital CEO and serve as a vital member of the Human Resources team. This multifaceted role is the "hub" of our administrative office, managing everything from medical staff credentialing and Board of Directors communications to payroll, benefits, and employee relations. The ideal candidate possesses a "no task too small" attitude, blending technical HR expertise with the diplomacy required to interface with executive leadership, Medical Staff, Hospital Board and the community.


Key Responsibilities

  • Executive Support: Act as the primary liaison for the CEO, managing complex calendars, travel, and high-level correspondence.
  • HR & Payroll: Supports all aspect of Human Resources including assisting staff, administering employee benefits, payroll processing, and recruitment to onboarding.
  • Board Governance: Coordinate Board meetings, compile digital board packets, and record official minutes.
  • Medical Staff Services: Coordinates medical staff credentialing through third party vendor, coordinates medical staff meetings including recording official minutes.
  • Culture & Compliance: Knows and administers personnel policies, ensures HIPAA/regulatory compliance, and fosters a respectful, empathetic workplace culture.
Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Associate’s degree in business, Human Resources, or Healthcare Administration
  • Experience: 3+ years of progressive administrative experience; healthcare HR or medical staff office experience is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: SHRM certification/membership preferred. Must be a Notary Public (or eligible to obtain upon hire).
  • Technical Savvy: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) and experience with HRIS, payroll, or digital meeting software.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with HIPAA, Kansas employment laws, and hospital governance.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional discretion, professional maturity, and the ability to pivot between complex technical tasks and immediate operational needs.

Physical & Mental Requirements

  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive personnel, medical staff and board data.
  • Ability to coordinate and physically set up meeting venues, including refreshments and catering.
  • Resilience and composure in a fast-paced, high-stress healthcare environment.
