Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Fractional HR Generalist to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This role is a 1099 contract position and requires on-site work at client locations, though it offers flexibility in schedule and remote work when appropriate. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded HR professional who can support various HR functions, including HRIS administration, payroll, benefits coordination, and recruiting. Client needs and contractor availability will determine the number of hours worked, so flexibility and adaptability are key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR support contact for assigned clients

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes

  • Maintain and manage employee data in various HRIS platforms

  • Support payroll processing and resolve related issues in coordination with finance/payroll providers

  • Administer employee benefits programs and assist with open enrollment

  • Conduct full-cycle recruiting for open roles as needed

  • Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

  • Assist with employee relations issues, documentation, and policy implementation

  • Provide general HR support and guidance to client managers and employees

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role

  • Proficiency in working with HRIS platforms and payroll systems

  • Experience with employee benefits administration

  • Knowledge of HR best practices

  • Recruiting experience across various roles and industries

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple client needs and shift priorities effectively

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
