Petersen Brothers Construction (PBC) is looking for an HR Assistant to join our HR Team! A person in this position will perform administrative tasks to support the employees and management teams. The HR Assistant will primarily be responsible for recruitment and onboarding for PBC and Elite Restoration and is the first point of contact to all candidates. An ideal candidate enjoys helping others to ensure a positive workplace culture as well as interacting with new faces to ensure a great first day experience!
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee recruitment
- Review resumes
- Conduct phone interviews
- Meet with hiring managers
- Schedule in-person interviews
- Onboard all new hires
- Oversee pre-employment drug screens
- Review MVR records
- Schedule first day onboarding
- Enter information into HR software
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR Manager.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and company parties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities:
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism
Education and Experience:
- Prior HR experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
