Job Summary:

The HR Assistant provides day-to-day support across all Human Resources functions and serves as the primary point of contact for associates with HR-related questions. This role supports payroll coordination, benefits administration, leave management, onboarding, compliance reporting, and employee engagement. Secondary responsibilities include assistant duties and front desk coverage as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for associates regarding HR policies, procedures, and general inquiries.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employees and company information.
  • Partner with Payroll to assist in processing semi-monthly payrolls and resolving timekeeping and PTO discrepancies.
  • Prepare offer letters and manage onboarding activities in the HRIS, including coordinating drug screens.
  • Conduct new hire orientations.
  • Administer FMLA leaves and Short-Term Disability applications.
  • Respond to employment verification requests.
  • Assist associates with benefits-related questions and processes.
  • Support recruitment efforts by conducting reference checks and verifying candidate credentials.
  • Support HR projects related to training, compensation, compliance, and employee engagement.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

 

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Assist with meeting setup and coordination for internal meetings.
  • Help plan and facilitate associate events and engagement activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the Office Manager.
  • Cover the front desk as needed.

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Degree in Human Resources and/or HR experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented; take pride in accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of an HRIS system, UKG preferred.
  • Team-oriented and positive attitude
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • Ability to multitask and take direction from multiple team members.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Accurate in basic math calculations.

Compensation 

The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $41,444-$60,504, with eligibility for overtime and an annual bonus. The actual base salary depends on various factors and could be above or below the range depending on the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, business needs, and market demand. The full salary range for this role reflects this position's competitive labor market value and provides an opportunity to progress as associates grow and develop within the role.  Bonuses are paid based on RTC’s financial results.  Any payouts awarded in the first year of employment are pro-rated based on the start date.  Program rules are subject to change at management’s discretion.
