Job Title: HR Assistant

- Full-Time: 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive HR Assistant to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting day-to-day HR functions and will serve as a key resource to ensure smooth operations within the department. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to unemployment claims and process requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Handle wage garnishment documentation and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Complete employment verifications promptly and professionally.
- Assist with recruiting tasks such as job postings, screening applicants, and coordinating interviews.
- Conduct and track exit surveys for departing staff.
- Support general HR projects and administrative functions as needed.
- Provide backup support to the HR Manager and Onboarding.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources.
- Familiarity with HR processes and documentation (e.g., garnishments, unemployment, employment verifications).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with HR software is a plus.
