Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in human resources or a related field preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HR software (UKG preferred).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Associates degree preferred

Key Responsibilities

Employee Events & Engagement

  • Assist in planning and coordinating employee appreciation and engagement events, including Employee Appreciation Day, milestone celebrations, DSP Appreciation Month, holiday events, Friendsgiving, and Take Your Child to Work Day.
  • Support recognition programs through communications, small celebrations, and acknowledgements across departments.

Employee Recognition & Programs

  • Track, create, and distribute Value Award certificates and funds; publish monthly recognition updates on NetWORC and Outlook.
  • Send monthly service anniversary communications and support Employee Assistance Fund participation and reporting.
  • Audit and communicate Success Recognition awards, including certificates and employee highlights.
  • Coordinate HR and leadership visits, agendas, stay interviews, and monthly SurveyMonkey reports for onboarding and exit feedback.

Communication & Culture

  • Assist with agency-wide culture communications, including heritage months, holidays, professional observances, and special occasions.
  • Create employee spotlight stories for DSP Appreciation Month and National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
  • Serve as primary administrator for NetWORC, maintaining content, increasing engagement, and providing training.
  • Maintain UKG, SharePoint, and shared HR resources; send reminders for HR events and trainings via Outlook and texting platforms.
  • Support Culture Committee initiatives to strengthen employee engagement, relations, and retention.

HR & Administrative Support

  • Provide backup support for New Employee Orientation, exit interviews, and receptionist duties as needed.
  • Respond to general HR inquiries, maintain personnel files, process employment verifications and termination letters, and support recruitment tracking and job fairs.
  • Order office supplies and assist with additional projects and duties as assigned.
