Description

About the Position

 We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This role supports a wide range of HR functions from internal communications to payroll and benefits administration, while ensuring compliance with California labor laws. If you're passionate about people, hospitality, and continuous improvement, we want to hear from you! The HR coordinator reports to the Human Resources Manager.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting and distributing employee communications, including newsletters and HR updates. 
  • Create and maintain training manuals, employee handbooks, and benefit information guides. 
  • Support planning and coordination of employee engagement events. 
  • Help administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and questions. 
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time; assist with audits and reporting as needed. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of California labor laws and ensure organizational compliance. 
  • Respond to employee inquiries with a professional, service-oriented approach. 
  • Help onboard new hires and conduct orientations. 
  • Assist in maintaining employee records and HRIS data integrity (Paylocity experience preferred). 
  • Assisting with additional projects, as assigned.
Requirements

Qualification Standards

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  •  Ability to exude helpful and pleasant attitude with all employees; people-person skills a must.
  •  Effective oral and written communication skills.
  •  Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
  •  Bilingual English/Spanish is desirable.
  •  HRIS experience; familiarity with Paylocity preferred.

Education

  •  Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in HR, business, or related area
  • Certification in HR preferred ( SHRM-CP)

Experience

  •  1–3 years of experience in a Human Resources support role (hospitality industry preferred). 

Grooming

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per club standards. Professional business attire required.


Other

This is a non-exempt, full-time position. This position is on-site, there are no WFH opportunities. In keeping with the demands of the hospitality industry, some overtime and weekends are required. 


Compensation

$55,240 – $64,000 depending on experience.
