JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation, including hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations, with timely updates to the HRIS system. 
  • Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex matters to the appropriate staff. 
  • Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, and other HR related topics
  • Collaborate with RPO on the candidate pre-boarding process
  • Upload driver new hire documents into the system for all employees. 
  • Process and respond to unemployment claims and complete employment verifications as needed. 
  • Ensure employee communication boards display the most current and relevant information. 
  • Manage HRIS system updates as necessary. 
  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently. 
  • Provide HR support to other company locations as needed. 
  • Assist HRBP with audits, administrative tasks, and compliance reviews
  • Support HRBP with planning and executing special events, including benefits enrollment, company-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
  • Execute special projects as assigned by the HR Director
  • Stay informed on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in talent management and employment law. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Education: Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct, hands-on HR experience, ideally within the food/beverage, consumer products, logistics, or manufacturing industries
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software. 
  • HR Systems: Ability to quickly learn and navigate HRIS and talent management systems
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible schedules, including occasional early mornings and evenings. 
  • Certifications: PHR/SHRM-CP preferred
