General Summary
- Human Resources Coordinator performs various functions of the Human Resources department including front desk responsibilities, new employee follow up and communication, and assists with projects as directed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as the first point of contact for employees, applicants, and visitors, providing professional, courteous, and timely assistance.
- Responds to incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries, routing them to appropriate HR team members.
- Responsible for follow up with new employees regarding orientation and documentation required. Assists recruiters with effective and timely communication with applicants as needed.
- Assists with onboarding new employees (badges, collecting documentation, and IT correspondence) and setting up orientation.
- Ensures all backgrounds and other required screenings are completed prior to first day of orientation.
- Conducts personnel updates or changes and employment verifications as requested.
- Maintains and orders department supplies, processes department invoices and completes one-time payment requests as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education
- High School Diploma required. Associates Degree in Business Administration or related degree preferred.
Work Experience
- A working knowledge of Human Resources practices as would normally be acquired through a minimum of two years' administrative experience in Human Resources or related area.
Certification/License
Mental/Physical Requirements
- High levels of communication skills, interpersonal skills, concentration, attention to detail, ability to process and interpret diverse information while working simultaneously on several projects. Must be able to handle stressful situations. Must be able to transport self throughout the facility. Must be able to lift or carry up to 10lbs.
