Human Resources Coordinator

The Human Resources Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the HR Department, by providing comprehensive administrative support across a range of functions. This includes a variety of responsibilities to include maintaining accurate employee records, supporting recruitment efforts, coordinating onboarding procedures.

Your role in caring for our company:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, and reference checks.
  • Coordinate onboarding procedures for new hires, including orientation scheduling and paperwork completion.
  • Support training and development initiatives, including scheduling sessions and tracking participation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, benefits, and compliance documentation.
  • Educate and communicate company personnel policies and procedures to newly hired and current employees.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits in a timely manner.
  • Assist in investigations in partnership with the HR Business Partner.
  • Assist in managing workers' compensation injury claims in partnership with the HR Business Partner.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, updating records and processes as needed.
  • Assist with office organization and operations, ensuring a professional and efficient work environment.

All other duties as necessary.

Qualifications we ask you to have:

  • For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
  • You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
  • We ask that you have an Associate's degree in Human Resources (Bachelor's Degree Preferred).
  • We ask that you have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in human resources.
  • We prefer that you have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a retail environment or related industry.

Additional skills which will help you excel in your role:

  • Familiarity with HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft professional correspondence and proofread documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in ATS and/or HRIS systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to handle changing priorities and a dynamic work environment.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing administrative and operational needs.
  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to fostering a collaborative and efficient workplace.
  • Ability to travel locally for company events or meetings as needed.
  • Ability to foster collaboration, be a team player, though also independent and self-motivated.
  • Coachable and can take full ownership of personal development, regularly soliciting feedback from teammates including those supervising, colleagues, and supervisor/s.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity and desire to be accountable, transparent and proactive.

Work Schedule/Location:

  • On-Site, five (5) days a week in Hagerstown, MD.
