We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator (Recruiting & Payroll) to support recruiting, HR operations, and payroll preparation and workforce reporting for our hourly and operational teams.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating hiring processes, maintaining accurate employee records, organizing payroll inputs, and supporting labor reporting and HR operations. The position plays an important role in keeping the hiring pipelines moving while ensuring employee data, payroll documentation, and workforce records remain accurate and organized.

This role balances recruiting coordination with HR operations and payroll preparation, and is best suited for someone who enjoys both talent coordination and the operational side of HR. Working closely with the HR Manager, the HR Coordinator helps execute established HR processes and support employee administration, payroll preparation, and day-to-day HR operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruiting & Staffing 
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including creating job postings, screening resumes and conducting initial candidate interviews
  • Coordinate candidate interviews, assessments, reference checks and ongoing candidate communications
  • Maintain accurate candidate tracking and provide pipeline updates to the HR Manager
  • Support the preparations of offer letters and background check for new hires
Payroll Preparation & Data Review
  • Collect and organize payroll inputs including hours, pay rates, overtime, and revenue-sharing data
  • Prepare payroll documentation for HR Manager and accounting review
  • Review daily workforce data for completeness and flag discrepancies (timesheets, scorecards, etc.)
  • Maintain payroll and labor cost reports used for internal review and assist with developing additional reports and analysis as needed
HR Operations
  • Maintain employee records and HR systems
  • Maintain HR documentation including policies, procedures, SOPs and employee handbook updates
  • Track PTO, time and attendance issues, missed punches, and corrections
  • Respond to routine employee HR questions and escalate complex issues when needed
  • Support compliance with federal and state employment laws
  • Assist with HR compliance documentation and audits
  • Provide administrative support to accounting related to payroll records, employee compensation documentation, and labor reporting
Onboarding and Offboarding
  • Coordinate onboarding for new employees, including new hire documentation and onboarding sessions
  • Ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time
  • Support employee offboarding and transition processes 
Benefit & Employee Engagement 
  • Support employee benefits administration, including new hire enrollment and updates
  • Assist with employee communications and engagement initiatives
  • Coordinate employee events such as monthly lunches, employee gatherings and milestone recognition
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years experience in HR coordination, recruiting, or HR operations
  • Experience recruiting hourly or operational roles is required
  • Experience preparing payroll inputs or supporting payroll processing
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines and hiring process
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Clear, professional communicator able to interact with employees and hiring managers
Skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Meet, Drive)
  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems
  • Knowledge of HR processes and best practices
  • Basic understanding of payroll processing and payroll data preparation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in employee or payroll data
  • Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information with discretion
Schedule
  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week
  • In-office role, Monday through Friday
  • Core working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Classification:  Full-time, hourly, non-exempt
  • Occasional additional hours may be required during peak recruiting or payroll periods
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly rate: $25 per hour
  • Eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws
  • Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy
  • Eligible to participate in the company 401(k) plan, subject to plan terms
  • Benefits eligibility per company guidelines
Compensation: $25.00 per hour
