HR Generalist
This role will work closely with the CEO to implement and process HR functions within the organization. The HR Generalist will assume a variety of HR responsibilities including but not limited to recruiting, processing bi-weekly payroll, benefits administration, and compliance tracking.
Pay Range: $62,000 - $80,000 per year
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Recruitment for all staff positions
Partner with 3rd party firms for key positions
Process bi-weekly payroll
Monitor and track sick and vacation time
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, staff development and work assessments
Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles the reporting and maintenance of worker's compensation claims.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
Performs other duties as assigned.

3 years of HR experience across a range of HR sub-disciplines, especially in recruiting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Preferred:
Degree related to HR and/or a SHRM-CP credential
Experience with construction and/or office environment
Experience with Paylocity
