Orchard Farm School District is seeking an HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will assist the Director with various human resource operations while providing administrative personnel support to employees of the the district.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited college/university; and
Three (3) years of related HR experience/equivalent administrative experience
High level of competence in interpersonal communication, computer orientation, and clerical skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates initiative and independent judgement in establishing professional office routines.
- Assumes responsibility for a wide variety of clerical and management tasks associated with human resources along with generalized central office operations while using confidentiality and accuracy.
- Assist Director with full cycle recruitment of all certified, classified, and substitute job openings, including aggressive social media and vendor site outreach.
- Conduct comprehensive orientations for support staff, leading benefit enrollment meetings and ensuring seamless transition for new hires through on-boarding cycle.
- Maintain and update the district's online library of Board approved job descriptions.
- Maintain the life-cycle for substitute teachers, including on-boarding, certification verification, record-keeping, and substitute management system.
- Maintain the districts annual training system - updates, quarterly/annual reports, etc.
- Manage the end-to-step FMLA process - processing requests, collecting medical certifications, tracking leave usage, and ensuring system accuracy.
- Maintain a working knowledge of EEOC, FERPA, FMLA, and FLSA to ensure district practices remain compliant with state and federal regulations.
- Assist to maintain the department website pages.
- Ensure all COBRA conversions are processed with precision and within legal timeframes.
- Safeguard highly confidential employee records and serve as a resource person for staff inquires.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices; participate in district PD and training
- Execute ad-hoc HR projects and perform additional duties as assigned by the Director or Superintendent.

- Strong technical knowledge, including Google and Microsoft Suites.

- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, employees, and the general public.
- Effectively present information to administrators.
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Work with mathematical concepts such as algebra, probability and statistical inference.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Salary: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
