A mission-driven organization in the housing and community development space is seeking an HR Generalist to join its team. This role will report directly to senior HR leadership and support a small, collaborative HR team across multiple locations.
This position will begin at 20 hours per week through April, with the opportunity to transition to full-time hours starting in May.
Schedule & Location:
- Fully remote
- Occasional travel required to local offices (Greater Boston area)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for open roles across the organization
- Oversee FMLA and leave administration, ensuring compliance and proper documentation
- Support and handle employee relations matters, providing guidance to managers and employees
- Partner with HR leadership on policies, processes, and HR initiatives
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation
- Provide general HR support across multiple teams and locations
Qualifications
- 3â5 years of HR experience
- Strong experience with employee relations and leave management (FMLA)
- Experience in nonprofit or community-based organizations is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally to local offices as needed
