We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive HR Generalist to support the full spectrum of human resources functions within our growing healthcare organization. This role is essential to maintaining a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. Collaborate in a matrix environment with the HR Director, Operations Director, and department managers to identify staffing needs and implement effective recruitment strategies.
Draft job descriptions, post openings, screen resumes, and conduct initial candidate interviews.
Coordinate interviews, background checks, and credential verifications.
Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth, compliant onboarding experience.
Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters.
Provide guidance on policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
Address employee issues, conduct investigations when necessary, and support conflict resolution.
Assist management with disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
Support employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and collaborative culture.
Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave administration.
Educate employees on benefit offerings, eligibility, and enrollment processes.
Coordinate with benefits providers to resolve issues and ensure legal compliance.
Maintain accurate benefits records and documentation.
Support goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
Provide managers with guidance on performance-related issues and documentation.
Promote accountability and continuous improvement across departments.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, particularly within the healthcare industry.
Stay current on HR regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, FMLA, and EEOC guidelines.
Partner with the HR Director to update policies, employee handbooks, and HR documentation.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including employment history and training documentation.
Generate HR reports and analyze workforce data to identify trends and support leadership decision-making.
Utilize HRIS and related systems for data management, reporting, and compliance tracking.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
Proven experience as an HR Generalist in a healthcare environment.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and employment laws.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving and sound decision-making ability.
High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
Proficiency in HRIS and HR-related software systems.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR.
Experience supporting multi-site or matrixed healthcare organizations.
