Westminster is a premier retirement community with dedicated and skilled staff, dynamic leadership, innovative services and first class facilities. We are hiring an HR Generalist; primary functions will be to oversee our Recruiting and On-boarding of new associates, assisting with benefits, payroll, and employee relations.
Who You Are:
- First point of contact for Human Resources to Westminster applicants and new hires.
- Responsible for assisting with recruitment of staff, including updating job postings.
- Receives, reviews, and processes all employment applications and resumes. Screen applicants to see if candidates meet minimum qualifications, and set-up interviews with hiring managers.
- Coordinates necessary pre-employment references, TB testing and background screening.
- Ensures confidentiality of employee records, releases authorized information regarding employment verification in accordance with community policies.
- Conducts new hire orientation each week for new associates. Explains all benefits available, provides initial safety training and walk through of all new hire paperwork.
- Sends out monthly insurance benefits information.
- Responsible for processing of timesheets for Food & Beverage Department as well as Server Incentives each week for Food & Beverage Department.
- Serves as a backup for bi-weekly payroll processing when needed.
- Creates event flyers, presentations and programs as needed.
- Will update and post on the Associate communication app on a regular basis.
- Assists with coordination of associate functions and recognition programs such as Associate Appreciation, Years of Service Awards, Holiday Party and Health and Wellness Fair.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years previous Human Resources experience required.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to multi-task and be a self-starter.
- Must enjoy interacting with associates on a daily basis.
