The HR Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of human resources functions and duties, including aspects of recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR systems maintenance, document control, benefits, training, and ongoing development of Weiser Memorial's talented workforce. The HR Generalist will be expected to represent the department at internal and external events, as needed. The HR Generalist role reports to the HR Manager and will be a critical point-of-contact for employees, senior leadership, and third-party vendors.

Responsibilities
- Assists in the administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the hospital.
- Participates in the development of and implementation of department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Assists with the tracking of departmental and hospital measures that support the accomplishment of the hospital’s strategic mission, vision, values, and goals.
- Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings, seminars, webinars, events, and HR professional meetings as assigned and necessary to represent the department.
- Participates on various committees to provide Human Resources support and to monitor activities and completion of goals.
- Oversight of the HR database to ensure optimal functionality and integrity, while maintaining transparency to assist all levels of staff, management, and senior leaders.
- Processes and tracks all salary, deductions, and demographic personnel changes within the HR system in a timely fashion.
- Processes all staff members benefit enrollments and changes, including but not limited to, Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and voluntary benefits, FSA, DCAP, and COBRA administration in coordination with the HR Manager.
- Maintains staff personnel files in compliance with DNV, ISO, CMS requirements, and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Maintains the recruitment platform in keeping with the hospital’s recruitment policies.
- Schedules and participates in interviews of prospective candidates, conducts necessary follow-up.
- Coordinates and conducts onboarding and orientation of all new hires.
- Processes and documents compliance and regulatory reports for all newly hired employees (I9/E-Verify, background checks, OIG, SAM, SORA, etc.), collects and records all required documents and communicates with other departments as deemed necessary.
