Job Title: Human Resources Generalist


SUMMARY: Provides support in functional areas of human resources including recruitment, employee relations, job evaluation, training, payroll and special projects. Serves as a business partner to Plant leadership team. Answers questions regarding HR policies and procedures. Ensure the organization's current HR requirements are met and the HR strategy is implemented effectively.


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or other related concentration strongly preferred
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to handle adverse situations and/or tight time deadlines while maintaining accuracy and consistency
  • ADP knowledge a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is preferred.
  • Shift: 9am-6pm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides proper guidance on coaching and counseling matters to plant leadership
  • Administer various human resource plans, policies and procedures for all company personnel
  • Recruit and facilitate the hiring of all qualified candidates and onboard new hires
  • Maintain employment files and ensures I9s are current as well as accurate
  • Uphold compliance with federal and state regulations surrounding employment
  • Provide guidance on performance management including but not limited to coaching, counseling and disciplinary actions
  • Assist in the counseling of employees and managers on confidential matters
  • Aids in reporting on headcount
  • Supports in the planning of employee events as well as employee rewards and recognition programs
  • Investigates employee relations matters accurately and promptly
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions (e.g., safety, harassment prevention).
  • Perform other duties as assigned
