Unica Enterprises LLC, an 8(a) Certified Small Business, which specializes in Janitorial Services and Facilities Operations, is currently looking for a HR Generalist to work in our home office, located in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. Unica is growing at a phenomenal rate, and we need a strong HR Generalist to join our team. This position will function as the single point of contact providing HR and Payroll support to our team. The HR Generalist candidate will be responsible for administering and overseeing all aspects of the human resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, training, termination, benefits, compliance, consulting with leadership, human resources reporting, performance management, team member relations, and team member development.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer onboarding, off-boarding, and employee record management.
- Manage the hiring process: post jobs, schedule interviews, support hiring managers, and prepare offer letters.
- Conduct new hire orientations and support benefit enrollment.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries, including PTO, benefits, policies, and compliance.
- Oversee disciplinary actions, documentation, and involuntary terminations.
- Perform bi-weekly payroll processing and reconciliation using Paylocity.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, review deductions, benefits, taxes, and bonuses.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining HR policies, performance management, training, and compliance programs.
- Coordinate and communicate employee benefits and support open enrollment.
- Stay current on HR regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
Qualifications
- 5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a company with 150+ employees.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
- Experience with Paylocity is a plus.
- Knowledge of federal and Texas employment laws, FMLA, and leave administration.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred.
- High level of discretion and professionalism with sensitive information.
Skills
- Strong MS Office and HRIS proficiency.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Team player with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
- PHR certification a plus.
