Compensation: $22/hour
Schedule: Full-time, Immediate Start Required
Type: Temporary (30 days, with potential for temp-to-hire)

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support core human resources functions for a 30-day assignment, with potential for temp-to-hire based on performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of HR experience and be confident handling full-cycle hiring, onboarding, compliance tasks, and general HR support. This role requires someone who can start immediately and take ownership of daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle hiring including job postings, new hire paperwork, drug screening coordination, and onboarding support

  • Process new hire templates and send benefit onboarding emails (copy manager)

  • Administer and track random drug screenings (quarterly via EScreen, up to 50 employees)

  • Coordinate and send monthly performance review reminders and track last pay increases

  • Draft and distribute a monthly benefits newsletter

  • Maintain and send age-out notifications using templates from shared drive

  • Support and track leaves of absence, including preparing documents for new cases (e.g., PLOA)

  • Prepare and distribute termination packets and final pay documentation

  • Order retirement plaques and packets using internal resources and vendors (e.g., PersonalizationMall)

  • Draft and distribute missed premium deduction letters as needed (info from finance)

  • Maintain onboarding spreadsheets and documentation for all new hires

  • Follow up on auto policy compliance and assist with other administrative HR tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in a human resources or HR support role

  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills

  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Working knowledge of HR processes, onboarding, and benefits administration

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to start immediately

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and comfort navigating shared drives
