HR Generalist – PacAero
Full-time • On-site (Wenatchee, WA) 


Position Summary:

The HR Generalist provides day-to-day HR support for PacAero and works closely with the HR Director to assist in key areas like onboarding, leave administration, policy compliance, and HR communications. This role is a critical partner to both leadership and employees in keeping HR processes smooth, timely, and compliant.


Key Responsibilities:

New Hire Process

· Assist with job postings, screenings, interview coordination, background checks, and offer letters.

· Support onboarding by preparing paperwork, coordinating first-day logistics, and helping with I-9/E-Verify completion.

Leave Administration

· Manage employee leave requests including FMLA, WA PFML, and short-term disability (STD).

· Track hours and ensure compliance with federal and state leave laws.

· Maintain accurate leave records and coordinate with payroll as needed.

HR Compliance & Documentation

· Maintain employee files and ensure proper documentation is filed and updated in the HRIS.

· Assist with handbook updates and HR policy rollouts.

· Support compliance with federal and WA state employment laws.

Employee Changes & Communication

· Process employee status changes, promotions, terminations, and other updates in the HRIS.

· Partner with payroll to ensure accurate and timely updates for pay, position, and benefit-related changes.

· Work regularly within Paylocity to enter and manage employee information; prior experience with Paylocity is preferred.

HR Projects & Training Support

· Help coordinate and participate in employee training sessions led by the HR Director.

· Assist with special projects related to employee engagement, culture, and recognition.

Requirements

  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s  degree in HR, Business, or related field or 5+ years of experience in a generalist-level HR role.
  • Strong understanding of FMLA, WA PFML, and STD processes.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (Paylocity, ADP, etc.).
  • Solid organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity  with WA state employment laws.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Office-based role with occasional time spent walking the production floor.
  • Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary starting at $60,000/year, with potential for a higher offer depending on experience
