HR Professional

Position Purpose:   Under general supervision, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing general administrative support to the Human Resources function with a focus on the employee life cycle, employee engagement, and talent acquisition. Additional responsibilities include assisting in background monitoring, and other special projects utilizing previous experience, strong problem-solving ability, balanced judgment, communication skills, sensitivity and discretion. 

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

  • Expertise in the area of background checks and drug screenings, project support, filing and onboarding correspondences as it relates to Talent Acquisition, programs and activities
  • Support to the overall employee lifecycle such as assisting in conducting new hire check-ins and exit interviews
  • Maintain excellent customer service skills and discretion in dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Administrative and technology support effectively utilizing Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Canva and other applicable software packages (i.e. Teams, Zoom, SharePoint)
  • Provide initial Employee Relations support and partnerships with the HRBP
  • Coordinate and set up new hire orientation materials and facilitate training sessions either as a location point of contact or backup as needed
  • Coordinate and provide firmwide support with Talent Acquisition Manager on any client audits
  • Onboard new employees into the employee system of record and internal learning management system in partnership with human resources and training teams.
  • Assist with hiring employees into employee system of record
  • Update and maintain miscellaneous department logs and databases used to track department/organization activities for reporting
  • Complete all required training applicable to assigned position
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position
  • Additional duties as requested or required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or HR management and/or equivalent experience
  • Two (2) years relevant HR/business experience including internships required
  • Experience with computer operation, Microsoft Word Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Teams, SharePoint)
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is desired but not required
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Driven to acquire new skills and evolve with the needs of the HR department and the firm
  • Possess a work ethic that includes neatness, punctuality and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal presentation skills to facilitate training
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected pay range for this position is $49,795.20-$61,713.60/year
