The HR SOURCE is currently partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to identify a skilled Human Resources Generalist. This is a direct -hire opportunity with a client that values compliance, accuracy, and consistent operational support.
<\/p>

Position Overview<\/b> The HR Generalist will support the internal People and Culture department in day -to -day operations. This role is essential for upholding compliance and consistency across the organization. The selected candidate will manage a wide range of HR functions—including employee relations, onboarding, recruitment coordination, and payroll support—while ensuring adherence to California and federal employment regulations for the client’s multi -state operations.

Duties and Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>

  • Employee Relations:<\/b> Serve as the first point of contact for routine HR questions, supporting employees and leadership with professionalism and consistency.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Onboarding & Training:<\/b> Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding, orientations, and compliance training; ensure all documentation and acknowledgments are completed accurately.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Data Management:<\/b> Maintain personnel files in physical and digital formats and support HRIS updates, position changes, and data accuracy.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Recruitment Support:<\/b> Assist with recruitment activities, including posting roles, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Timekeeping & Compliance:<\/b> Support timekeeping, review missing punches, and help maintain accurate attendance and meal/rest break compliance for California standards.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Payroll & Benefits:<\/b> Provide payroll support under HR direction and assist with benefits enrollment tracking, open enrollment, and employee communication.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Leave Administration:<\/b> Assist with leave of absence paperwork, status updates, and follow -through.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Regulatory Adherence:<\/b> Help maintain compliance with California and federal labor laws, as well as multi -state requirements; support audits, reporting, and HR compliance initiatives.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Engagement:<\/b> Assist in planning employee engagement activities, recognition efforts, and culture -related initiatives.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Special Projects:<\/b> Support workforce planning tasks and the preparation of reports and materials for leadership and audits.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Best Practices:<\/b> Stay informed on HR best practices and regulatory changes; support investigations and help resolve employee matters when needed.

    Qualifications<\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Education:<\/b> Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Experience:<\/b> Minimum of 3 years of experience in a generalist or administrative HR role.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Industry Focus:<\/b> Experience in manufacturing or fabrication<\/b> environments is highly preferred.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Legal Knowledge:<\/b> Strong knowledge of California labor laws and general HR compliance requirements.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Technical Skills:<\/b> Experience with HRIS platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Communication:<\/b> Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Bilingual (English/Spanish)<\/b> is preferred.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Certification:<\/b> PHR or SHRM -CP certification preferred.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Discretion:<\/b> Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion.
      <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      Physical Demands & Work Environment<\/b>
      <\/p>

      • Primary work performed in an office environment with moderate noise levels.
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Frequently required to sit, use hands, and operate standard office equipment.
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Occasionally required to walk, stand, or lift up to 25 pounds.
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Occasional travel between local facilities may be required.
