ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Leave Administration:
    • Handling personal leave and family medical leave requests, providing guidance to employees and managers while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Receiving and reviewing requests for accommodations; determine eligibility for accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Ace (ADA)
    • Providing guidance to managers regarding employer responsibilities and proper supervision of ADA case; consult with legal team as needed.
    • Reviewing and processing leave requests, ensure accurate documentation and timely approvals
    • Maintaining leave records, including tracking usage, balances, and relevant documentation.
  • Orientation and Onboarding
    • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring required paperwork and system entries are completed accurately and timely.
    • Help coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation sessions.
    • Coordinate background checks and pre-employment requirements.
    • Partner with managers to ensure new employees have a smooth onboarding experience and are prepared for their roles.
  • Unemployment Claims Management
    • Manage unemployment claims administration, including responding to state agency requests and preparing employer responses.
    • Gather documentation and coordinate with managers to support claim responses and hearings.
    • Track unemployment claims and outcomes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Employee Relations and Performance Management
    • Assist Sr. Human Resources Manager in preparing disciplinary documentation, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and corrective action documentation.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records related to disciplinary actions and investigations.
    • Support HR leadership in conducting workplace investigations as needed.
  • Employee Support and Operations
    • Provide excellent customer service during every interaction
    • Collaborating and maintaining open lines of communications with managers on employee status
    • Maintaining employee personnel files and ensure records are accurate, organized, and updated as needed in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
    • Ensure completion and compliance of Form I-9 documentation and employment eligibility verification.
    • Assist with employees with benefits enrollment questions and coordinate with benefits administrators as needed
    • Process employment verification requests and other HR documentation.
    • Maintain HR systems and employee data accuracy
    • Maintaining open communications with employees
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong administrative skills
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations related to leave administration
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant software applications
  • Understanding of confidentiality
