WHAT YOU’LL DO
As an HR Generalist you will support our Benefits Administration, Leave of Absence programs, and broader HR Operations. This role will ensure smooth execution of core HR functions, maintain compliance with employment regulations, and provide outstanding support to employees and managers. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of HR processes and systems, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and other benefit programs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and support.
Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations in HRIS and with benefit vendors.
Coordinate annual open enrollment, including communications and system updates.
Reconcile benefit invoices and ensure accurate payroll deductions.
Ensure compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and other applicable regulations.
Partner with brokers and carriers for renewals, audits, and issue resolution.
Administer leaves of absence including FMLA, ADA, personal, parental, military, and disability leave.
Manage the leave request process from initiation to return-to-work.
Maintain accurate leave tracking and documentation.
Advise employees and managers on leave policies, eligibility, and compliance.
Work closely with third-party administrators and internal stakeholders to ensure coordination and consistency.
Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and personnel files.
Process employment verifications, I-9s, and other required HR documentation.
Assist with HR data reporting, metrics, and audits.
Ensure data integrity and confidentiality across HR systems and processes.
Support policy development, process improvements, and compliance initiatives.
Participate in internal HR projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Monitor and track mandatory training completion (e.g., harassment prevention, safety, DEI).
Maintain learning and development records in the HRIS or LMS (Learning Management System).
Coordinate scheduling and communication for compliance-related training sessions.
Partner with managers and vendors to ensure training requirements are met and documented.
Prepare reports for audits, leadership, or regulatory compliance.
Support general learning & development initiatives as needed.
Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of HR experience with emphasis in HR operations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for simplifying complex topics.
Strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and organizational dynamics.
Creativity and strategic thinking in designing effective communication campaigns.
Ability to collaborate across teams and engage with Team Members at all levels.
Detail-oriented, well-organized, and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in Excel, Word, and other MS Office applications.
Adaptable to changes and open to new ideas for improved efficiency, productivity, and compliance.
Have strong organizational skills with the capacity to meet strict deadlines.
High School Diploma or GED (required).
At least 21 years of age.
PREFERRED
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
