Hire Ventures is a boutique human resource consulting firm headquartered in Atlanta with offices at Atlanta Tech Village in Buckhead. We specialize in providing fractional, project-based, and advisory HR & Recruiting services to small and medium-sized companies. Since 2001, we’ve been helping businesses navigate HR complexities—especially those experiencing growth, change, or operating across multiple locations.

As we launch our newest service offering, focused on providing HR support to small businesses, we’re expanding our consulting team to support this virtual HR solution. This person will work with growing companies that need HR support but are not yet ready for our full fractional HR service. To help drive this effort, we are looking to hire an HR Generalist who will play a key role in delivering exceptional client support, particularly in transactional HR functions such as payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and on/offboarding.

This is a hybrid position based in Atlanta, requiring 3–5 days per week at our Atlanta Tech Village office with some flexibility for remote work.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Serve as an extension of our clients’ HR team, providing hands-on support across the employee lifecycle—especially in onboarding, benefits enrollment, payroll coordination, leave tracking, performance management, state & federal compliance and employee offboarding.

  • Own day-to-day transactional HR tasks and support compliance-related functions such as employee recordkeeping, audit preparation, and handbook/policy creation or support.

  • Partner with Senior HR Consultants on more complex matters like investigations, policy rollouts, and organizational changes.

  • Support HelloHR clients with timely and accurate HR administration, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.

  • Stay current on employment laws at both the state and federal levels to ensure our clients remain compliant, especially those with multi-state workforces.

  • Contribute to the Hire Ventures blog and social platforms to help share HR knowledge and strengthen our brand presence.

  • Collaborate internally with our consulting team, share knowledge, and represent the Hire Ventures values in all client interactions.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Located in Atlanta and able to work from our Buckhead office (ATV) at least 3 days per week.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or a related field—or equivalent relevant experience.

  • HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.).

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a generalist or HR coordinator role with a focus on the transactional side of HR such as payroll, benefits, and compliance.

  • Tech-savvy and quick to adapt to new tools—experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace is important.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Additional Attributes We Value:

  • Confident communicator with excellent writing and organizational skills.

  • Coachable with a genuine desire to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact.

  • A positive team player who thrives in a collaborative and flexible environment.

  • Comfortable engaging with clients and contributing to a consultative, professional experience.

Our Culture:

Our team is known for being approachable, insightful, and generous with our knowledge. We genuinely care about our clients and each other. You’ll thrive here if:

  • You take pride in your work and hold yourself to a high standard.

  • You value autonomy and accountability in equal measure.

  • You approach challenges with curiosity and a willingness to grow.

  • You align with our core values—read them here.
