Primary Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Generalist serves as a key partner to operations by supporting day-to-day HR functions.
- Support accurate and timely processing of payroll
- Review and audit timekeeping records for accuracy
- Partner with supervisors to correct missed punches, timecard errors, and pay discrepancies in a timely manner
- Process employee changes impacting pay ensuring proper approvals and documentation
- Respond to employee payroll-related questions and concerns professionally and promptly
- Maintain accurate records related to payroll deductions in alignment with company policy
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, wage and hour laws, and applicable employment laws
- Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance tracking
Additional Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for supervisors and team members regarding HR-related questions and concerns
- Manage, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding processes and paperwork
- Maintain and update employee data and documentation in HRIS systems
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events
- Help drive a positive workplace culture aligned with company values
- Create standard operating procedures for human resources and payroll-related functions
- Conduct focus group meetings and employee surveys
- Administer FMLA and work with health services to manage FMLA cases
Job Experience:
- Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in an equivalent role
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
