JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resource Generalist plays a key role in ensuring MW Components’ strategic initiatives are executed, by creating and managing systems that maintain and grow the technical strength of the workforce and the capabilities of the management team. This position is responsible for supporting and implementing key HR initiatives that align with divisional goals, ensuring compliance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and strengthening the organization’s talent and leadership pipeline. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and capable of balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Works with Division HR Manager/Director to develop, improve, and administer various human resources plans and procedures for the relevant employee population including, but not limited to, personnel policies and procedures.
- Manage the day-to-day tasks of employee administration, such as but not limited to, maintaining employee records, safety records, payroll reviews, and updating HR systems.
- Acts as a solutions-oriented, talent and people advisor to their business partners identifying solutions to complex people matters.
- Liaison between Corporate and supported business unit (BU), interpreting policy, communication, cultural values, business initiatives and overall organizational objectives.
- Coach and train managers and supervisors on leadership development, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and employment law compliance.
- Support the facilitation of learning and development programs that address employee skill gaps and promote career growth.
- Strong acumen in HR systems and using HR data/metrics to drive people decisions that align with business objectives.
- Responsible for participating, and in some cases, leading corporate HR projects to be deployed at the BU level.
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment for non-exempt and entry-level exempt roles at the business unit level, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to craft job postings and ensure hiring decisions align with workforce needs and diversity goals.
- Owns performance management and talent development process for relevant sites.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Expertise and full knowledge to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Manages FMLA, STD, and LTD claims in coordination with MW’s external administrators.

SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong capability to identify issues, propose solutions, and influence outcomes through collaboration and sound judgment.
- Strong understanding of safety systems and OSHA regulations in order to support local management.
- Ability to translate strategic plans into supporting HR approaches, with appropriate tracking metrics.
- Knowledge of state and local laws as it relates to FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, and other applicable regulations.
- Results-oriented, agile, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong ethical compass and commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field; preferred
- 2+ years’ experience of human resources experience; preferrably in an operational or manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Management Software (including payroll systems and ATS)
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR credentials a plus.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional travel as required.
