As the HR Generalist you'll support daily HR functions, including, recruiting, onboarding, HRIS management, administrating payroll and benefits, implementing policies and procedures, and troubleshooting employee questions and concerns. In this position, you'll exhibit excellent fiduciary responsibility by ensuring accurate payroll processes, audits, and allocations. What your day will look like at Prisma Community Care:
- Administer payroll and benefits in an accurate and timely manner with special attention to FLSA rules, appropriate deductions, federal and state laws governing employee compensation, and organizational policies.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve benefit issues with insurance broker(s) and insurance agencies.
- Prepare annual open enrollment processes and changes for each year. Participate in benefit analysis and selection.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes for payroll and audits, including, labor allocations.
- Lead payroll, benefit, and personnel record related audits, including gathering necessary information and documents for external auditors.
- Complete reconciliation, funding, and payment for benefits.
- Complete HR and compliance related reports for internal and external needs.
- Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. This includes in-person needs as well as monitoring HR inbox to respond to or triage all inquiries.
- Manage HRIS records in accordance with personnel record requirements and policies; including, electronic employment files on all current and terminated employees
- Maintain State personnel book and records for licensing to ensure successful audit results.
- Respond to written employment verification requests, unemployment notices, garnishments, and subpoenas.
- Manage the recruiting and onboarding processes for new hires in Paylocity ensuring clear communication throughout candidate experience.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings to recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants.
- Provide Paylocity training and support for staff.
- Provide benefit enrollment and education at start of employment and open enrollment period.
- Support organization-wide employee recognition and engagement activities.
- Interpret and provide guidance on organizational policies and procedures for both staff and managers.
- Support the Director of Human Resources with employee relations, labor law compliance, and special projects.
- Assist with employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Receive mail, distribute mail, and log checks/ payments.

Who we're looking for:
- You have a minimum of three years Human Resources work experience.
- You have earned a High school diploma, or GED.
- You have experience managing personnel records in HRIS software.
- You have a high level proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
- You have the ability to handle simultaneous projects and changing priorities.
- You have the ability to maintain employee and client confidentiality.
- You have a demonstrated ability to establish rapport and maintain effective communication with culturally diverse populations from a wide range of life circumstances and backgrounds.

Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
- Office environment, exposure to computer screens for lengthy periods of time.
- May require evening and occasional weekend work.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, stand; use hands, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
- This position may require the employee to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or crawl.
- This position must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds.
Compliance Requirements
- Currently have, or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment, a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Currently have, or are able to obtain within 7 days of employment, a current flu vaccination.
- Currently have, or are able to initiate within 7 days of employment, a clear TB test.
