HR Generalist

Cleaver Brooks is looking for a HR Generalist to join our team in Monroe, WI. The HR Generalist is responsible for ongoing administration of Human Resources functions. This includes hiring, onboarding, orientation, employee support, manager guidance and other tasks generally performed by Human Resources at this level.

Job Location: Monroe, WI

Essential functions:

• Supporting employees with HR inquiries
• Coordinate employee engagement and wellness events
• Responsible for all onboarding and orientation of new hires
• Responsible for benefit inquiries and annual open enrollment support
• Point of contact for employees and visitors
• Manage and respond to unemployment claims and various regulatory/legal requirements
• Provide management/supervisor guidance on performance improvement and disciplinary actions
• Interpret, develop, and administer policies and procedures
• Responsible for maintaining digital employee records in HRIS system (UKG)
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
• Detail oriented and manage multiple projects at a time.
• All other duties as assigned

Other Duties:

Internal Contacts: (70-80 %) Contacts required as a regular part of daily duties.

External Contacts: (20-30%) Contacts required as a regular part of daily duties

Basic Requirements:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred but not required.

Experience:  2+ years experience directly in Human Resource functions.

Physical Skill & Effort:  Limited manual dexterity required. Work requires infrequent physical effort.

Working Conditions and Hazards: Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible/little or no exposure to hazardous conditions.
