HR Generalist

Mirbeau Hospitality Services is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join its Human Resources team!

The HR Generalist will support the HR team and all Mirbeau Properties with a primary focus on recruiting efforts and administrative support. Additionally, the HR Generalist will serve as the HR Representative for our Spa Mirbeau Albany location. This role will be based in Saratoga Springs, with one day per week on-site in our Albany location.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting efforts, partnering with property managers to understand the current needs in their departments
  • Posting job opportunities using our applicant tracking system, reviewing applicant resumes for qualifications, conducting phone screens and scheduling in-person interviews with department managers
  • Maintain and update job descriptions and specifications
  • Outside-the-box thinking to increase ad visibility and applicant flow
  • Establish relationships with local schools and universities and attend job fairs as needed
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Dedicated HR support for our Spa Mirbeau Albany location - 1 day per week on-site, more if needed for special projects
  • Advise on Employee Relations issues, taking into consideration NYS Labor Laws, best employment practices and Mirbeau policies
  • Field inquiries/concerns from employees and respond in a timely manner
  • Work closely with Spa Mirbeau management to foster a positive culture of teamwork, collaboration and support
  • Maintain compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations
  • Assist with the execution of Employee Recognition Programs
  • Respond to reference checks and verifications of employment
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Assist the HR Director and Property HR Managers with various projects as needed

Qualifications, Skills and Educational Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or higher
  • 3 years of experience in HR; recruiting and/or hospitality experience a plus
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively, as part of a team
