General purpose of Job:

This position works closely with the EVP of Finance and Controller at both companies, spending roughly three days per week at Impact's facility in Minneapolis, two days per week at Infinity's office near St. Louis Park, with some options to work remote.

The primary purpose of this position is to perform Human Resource functions in accordance with company procedures, legal compliance, prepare data and reports, and maintain accurate records. The ability to handle highly confidential material is essential to success in this position. Provide oversight and input related to the activities of Impact's HR and Accounting Departments. The role is a split role between Impact Mailing and Infinity.

Duties:

  1. Staffing: Develop and implement staffing strategies to ensure the organization is adequately staffed with qualified personnel. This includes workforce planning, job postings, and collaborating with department managers to understand staffing needs.
  2. Recruiting: Manage the recruitment process from start to finish, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers. Utilize various recruiting platforms and techniques to attract top talent.
  3. Retention: Develop and implement employee retention programs to reduce turnover and enhance employee satisfaction. Conduct exit interviews, analyze turnover data, and recommend strategies for improvement.
  4. Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. This includes conducting orientation sessions and coordinating with other departments to ensure new employees have the necessary resources.
  5. Culture & Engagement: Serve as a champion of Impact/Infinity's culture by working collaboratively with HR and other departments to develop and implement initiatives that foster a positive, fun, and team-oriented workplace. Lead by example in demonstrating humility, teamwork, positivity, and a "can-do" attitude. Regularly assess and support culture-related needs, including analyzing employee feedback, participating in culture surveys, and helping to design programs that enhance engagement and reinforce company values.
  6. Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, and mediate conflicts as needed.
  7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  8. Active member of the Safety Committee.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Performance Measurement: Performance feedback will take place both verbally and written on a day-to-day as needed basis, recognition in monthly employee recognition meetings, formal training on changes in SOP as needed with a formal review by the supervisor at least annually

Education and/or Experience:

Associates Degree from a university and/or 5+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Internet, Excel, word processing and e-mail experience necessary.

Language Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and employees of organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and company policies. Ability to write procedures, correspondence, and routine reports.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to manage time and prioritize completing a variety of different tasks in a given time. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement and weight, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The noise level is moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
