Compensation: $70,000 – $85,000 annually (full-time equivalent)


ConnectedHR is growing, and we’re seeking an experienced HR Generalist Consultant to join our award-winning team. This role is available as both full-time and part-time, W-2 employment, with a consistent, ongoing schedule supporting clients onsite during standard business hours.


ConnectedHR provides fractional HR support to small to mid-size companies, partnering closely with leadership teams to deliver strategic and hands-on HR solutions.


This is not a side gig or 1099 contract role. It is an opportunity for well-rounded HR professionals who enjoy being hands-on across all functional areas while partnering closely with clients to support both day-to-day operations and long-term success.

What You’ll Do

As an HR Generalist Consultant, you will support clients across a variety of industries with both tactical and strategic HR needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide day-to-day HR support across all functional areas.
  • Partner with managers on employee relations, coaching, and performance management.
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain and optimize HR systems and employee data.
  • Assist in policy development, updates, and implementation.
  • Support compensation, benefits administration, and HR reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvements and HR best practices.
  • Support recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives, including workforce planning, job description development, interview strategy, and hiring process improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within ConnectedHR and ConnectedTALENT.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge across core HR functions.
  • Experience supporting recruitment and talent acquisition efforts.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and compliance.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across clients.
  • Ability to travel locally to client sites throughout the Cleveland metro area.
  • Professional, dependable, and highly collaborative.
