The HR Generalist is a key role in the successful employee journey in a wide range of responsibility in human resources.  The Generalist will help facilitate a positive working relationship amongst all staff members.  The HR Generalist will ensure the HR department operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver the general functions of the human resource department including but not limited to, end to end recruitment, pre-employment checks and documentation, employee relations, payroll, employee relations, training, etc.
  • Ensure legal compliance of the company with employment laws
  • Develop and manage employee records system, security and retention.
  • Manage payroll documentation, attendance, overtime in conjunction with third party payroll vendor.
  • Lead and manage company policy and procedures compliance.
  • Lead, document and manage employee relations matters including but not limited to investigations.
  • Effectively address employee relations and performance management matters.
  • Resolve employee questions and concerns in conjunction with appropriate supervisor.
  • Coordinate employee benefit plan including enrollment, changes and communication.
  • Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or HR related discipline required
  • At least four years’ experience in general human resource function
  • Demonstrated knowledge in HR best practices and current regulations
  • Experience working with Talent Acquisition/ Recruiting 
  • Corrective Action experience
  • Demonstrate independent thinking
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated success in generalist position responsibilities
  • Proficiency in use of MS Office applications (Word, outlook, excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
