The Human Resource Generalist II provides comprehensive HR support across multiple functional areas within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for administering employee programs, ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws, and serving as a key resource for employees and managers. Special focus areas include leave management (FMLA and related leaves) and tuition reimbursement programs, in addition to core HR responsibilities. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities Core HR Functions · Support day-to-day HR operations, ensuring consistent application of company policies and practices. · Serve as a first point of contact for employee relations matters, escalating complex issues as appropriate. · Partner with managers and supervisors to support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development initiatives. · Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in the HRIS system. · Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. · Participate in HR projects, audits, and process improvement initiatives. Leave Administration (FMLA & Other Leaves) · Administer and track all employee leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, personal, and other applicable leaves. · Provide guidance to employees and managers on leave eligibility, documentation, and timelines. · Coordinate with payroll and benefits to ensure proper handling of employee status changes during leaves. · Maintain accurate and compliant leave records. Tuition Reimbursement & Employee Programs · Administer the tuition reimbursement program, including application review, eligibility verification, and reimbursement processing. · Partner with employees to provide guidance on program policies and requirements. · Track utilization and report on program participation to HR leadership. · Support additional employee engagement, wellness, and recognition programs as needed. · All other assignments as needed |
Required Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted. · 3–5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. · Strong knowledge of FMLA and leave administration best practices. · Familiarity with tuition reimbursement or similar employee programs is preferred. · Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws. · Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. · Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and confidentiality. · Maintain confidentiality and integrity
