The Human Resource Generalist and Office Administrator will support a small business team in-office about 10 hours per week.
HRIS:
Implement, test, and maintain the HR information systems (JustWorks) and ensure the accuracy of all data.
Train and support employee users of their HRIS system access.
Ability to accurately process and analyze payroll and withholdings while keeping records of all payroll invoices
Stay current on HRIS advancements and suggest ways to improve HRIS systems and processes.
Partner with managers and recruiters to update job posts and career webpage
Pull and analyze reports (benefits, census, payroll, hiring)
Benefits Analysis:
Analyze and form benefit plans with 3rd party vendors.
Point of contact for benefit changes
Report on benefit usage
Train employees on benefit enrollments and Benefit sites
Employee Relations & Engagement:
Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace issues.
Support conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
Facilitate New Hire Orientation and other mandatory training courses
Process onboarding and off-boarding employees (background check reviews and I9 verifications)
Organize company outings and team building events
Compliance & HR Policies:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (EEO, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, etc.).
Maintain employee records / files in accordance with confidentiality and data protection regulations.
Assist in the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
Complete I9s electronically
Assist in HR data reporting, including turnover rates, recruitment metrics, and workforce planning.
Proactively communicate changes in laws and regulations and lead implementations
Ability to write Job Descriptions and calculate salary ranges
Office Administration Duties
Order and replenish office supplies
Collaborate with team on office appearance and cleanliness
Responsible for sending out 3rd Party/ Vendor Gifts during holiday time
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of state and federal employment and labor laws and regulations (ADA, EEOC, DOL, etc.).
Strong technical skills, including experience with HRIS software and databases.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Ability to multitask and work effectively
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field/Preferred.
2-5 years of HR experience in a generalist role or higher preferred
HR certification(s) is a plus.
