A DAY IN THE LIFE

Montrose Environmental Group is seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Generalist Supervisor to lead a small team of HR Generalists and Administrators to execute HR processes and tasks, supporting our HR Business Partner team across the US. You’ll ensure compliance with employment regulations, drive operational efficiency, and promote consistency across the employee experience. This role is key to supporting our growing workforce and maintaining a high standard of HR service delivery.

This position is preferably based in Little Rock, Arkansas, but can be based remotely in the U.S.

This role is expected to deliver:

HR Operations & Team Support

  • Supervise and mentor HR Generalists and Administrators across multiple locations.
  • Oversee execution of HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and compliance tracking.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation and data entry in HR systems.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and segment leaders to support workforce needs.

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Standardize HR procedures and documentation across teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Support audits and reporting requirements.

Employee Experience & Support

  • Serve as a point of contact for escalated employee inquiries and issues.
  • Promote consistency and fairness in HR practices.
  • Support DEI initiatives and inclusive workplace efforts.
  • Assist in training and development of HR team members.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, including supervisory or team lead responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of HR operations and employment law compliance.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage remote teams and work independently.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for team and business support.
