We’re seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our HR team in Middleton, WI. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that partners closely with leaders and employees across the employee lifecycle. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor, drive HR process excellence, and help foster an engaged, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
This role reports to the HR Director, Fiskars Americas, the senior HR leader supporting the U.S. and Canada.
Act as a front-line HR partner, providing day-to-day guidance to employees and people managers on policies, compensation, benefits, and HR procedures
Partner closely with HR colleagues to develop, implement, and continuously improve HR programs, policies, and people initiatives
Lead new hire onboarding and orientation experiences, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition for new employees
Manage employee data and transactions in HR systems (Workday, UKG), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
Support employee relations efforts by addressing concerns, facilitating resolutions, and contributing to a positive workplace culture
Partner with the global Talent Acquisition team to support local staffing and hiring needs
Manage compliance and reporting requirements, including AAP, EEO, and VETS reporting
Coordinate service award programs and support employee recognition and engagement initiatives
Serve as a key contact for the emergency response system and safety committee
Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis, and project support to HR leaders across the U.S.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field; PHR certification a plus
5+ years of progressive HR generalist or HR manager experience
Strong foundation in HR business partnering and operational HR excellence
Experience working with HRIS platforms; Workday and/or UKG preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and trust at all levels
A proactive, collaborative approach with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
