Job Summary

The HR Manager will lead the administration and execution of key programs supporting the full talent lifecycle of Exegy employees. This role is responsible for delivering effective and compliant processes across onboarding, payroll and benefits administration, policies and procedures, employee relations, wellness initiatives, and employee engagement activities. Operating as a strategic individual contributor, the HR Manager partners across departments to ensure consistent, high-quality employee experiences.

This is a hybrid position, requiring three days onsite and two days remote each week.

Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Own onboarding, job changes, and offboarding processes to ensure seamless, best-in-class employee experiences

  • Lead new hire orientation and exit interviews; identify and act on trends to support retention and engagement

  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in compliance with company and legal requirements

  • Support administration for pre-employment processes and escalate concerns to HR leadership for resolution (background checks, drug screens, and employment eligibility verification)

  • Plan and execute culture-building initiatives, including employee engagement, wellness, and philanthropic activities

  • Coordinate team events and programs that promote inclusion, connection, and company values

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Accurately process semi-monthly/monthly payroll and ensure timely delivery

  • Administer benefits programs, including enrollments, leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, parental), and employee support

  • Resolve payroll and benefits inquiries with professionalism, confidentiality, and empathy

  • Support vendor relationships and monthly benefit invoice reconciliation with Finance

  • Lead open enrollment and ensure clear, timely communication that enhances the employee experience

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure HR practices align with local, state, federal, and international employment laws

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and track required training and certifications

  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports on headcount, payroll, benefits utilization, and demographics

HR Systems & Process Improvement

  • Function as the lead for HRIS administration; ensure data integrity and user support

  • Partner cross-functionally to streamline workflows and automate manual processes

  • Identify gaps and drive continuous improvement in support of operational excellence and employee satisfaction

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience required

  • 5+ years of HR experience with strong knowledge of HR operations; global payroll and benefits experience a plus

  • Proficient in HRIS systems; experience with Paylocity, Blue Marble, or Vistra preferred

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and MS Office Suite

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance practices

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and urgency

  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a strategic framework

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred
