Position Title: HR Manager – Bilingual (Confidential Search)
Reports To: President / Executive Leadership

Classification: Full-Time, Exempt 

Supervisory Duties: Yes

Salary Range: $90-$120k DOE

Location: North San Diego County (100% On-site)


Our client,  a long-standing leader in large-scale commercial projects across Southern California is seeking a bilingual Human Resources Manager with mastery of California and federal compliance, the confidence to lead with influence, and the vision to create scalable, people-first programs. This is a hands-on role where your ideas will directly shape how the company grows and how employees experience their work.

What You’ll Do:

·Ensure full compliance with California and federal labor laws, including wage and hour, safety, and overall HR best practices

·Manage and administer all types of employee leaves (CFRA, FMLA, PDL, ADA, workers comp, etc.) 

·Supervise and mentor direct reports, fostering a professional development environment while improving HR knowledge and performance

·Provide proactive HR support to leadership and employees, offering guidance on employee relations, corrective actions, and general performance 

·Maintain and implement HR policies, processes, and systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency

·Oversee employee onboarding, offboarding, benefit administration, and employee maintenance

·Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives related to workplace culture, audits, and process improvements

·Provide coaching to managers and act as a trusted advisor

·Additional duties may be assigned 


Requirements

  

What We’re Looking for: 

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred 
  • SPHR/PHR or SHRM-CP/-SCP preferred.
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing or similar field is a plus 
  • Familiarity with prevailing wage is a plus
  • 7+ years progressive HR experience 
  • Strong knowledge of leave administration, wage & hour, state/federal      compliance and general HR best practice
  • Ability to coach, develop, and lead HR staff
Salary Description
$90k - $120k annually
